Website maintenance · Backups · Technical operations

WordPress maintenance.
Updates with a plan.

We look after your WordPress website or online store within an agreed scope. Before updates, we check dependencies and backups. Afterwards, we test key features and record any follow-up work.

What the workflow can look like

Back up. Update.
Check that key features work.

01

Check the baseline and backup

02

Make the agreed changes

03

Recheck important user journeys

Example workflow · Scope agreed with you

Understand the problem. Design a solution that fits.

An update is complete once we have checked that the website still works.

A new plugin, an outdated extension or a silent form failure can affect your site. Maintenance pairs changes with a suitable backup and checks of your key features.

Updates and functionality checks

We check compatibility between WordPress, your theme and your plugins. For higher-risk changes, we plan a separate test environment. After the update, we check the functions agreed with you, such as form delivery or checkout.

Backups and recovery

We agree which files and database to back up, where copies are stored and how long they are kept. We agree a restore test explicitly so there is evidence that a backup can be restored.

Hosting and responsibilities

The maintenance agreement sets out who handles the website, hosting, domain and licences. If something fails, we first assess the cause and impact. We agree response times and contacts before work starts.

Defined in advance

Know what maintenance covers and when extra work is needed.

Before taking over, we review the site and agree tasks, frequency and response times. You get an overview of completed work and open issues. We agree new features, content and extensive repairs separately. Learn about ongoing support.

Example maintenance report

What you can review after an update.

The report records what changed, what was checked and what still needs doing. This is a fictional example for a business website with a contact form.

Before the update
Checked the file and database backup. Documented the plugin requirements.
Changes
Updated the form plugin during the agreed maintenance window.
Checks
Submitted a test enquiry on mobile and checked delivery to the intended inbox.
Follow-up
The next step is a scheduled recovery test in a separate environment.
